Recreational Soccer, Basketball and Flag Football

Our product offering is unique from our competition because we offer a wide variety of sports to both boys and girls throughout the school year.
Current sport offerings include: Soccer, Basketball and Flag Football. Included are a team uniform and trophy presentation to each boy and girl who participates in the season.

Our mission is to foster community, friendships, sportsmanship and good family entertainment through sports and to promote respectful play and participation for all who are involved.

Coaches

We are working very closely with local area High Schools. Our coaches are Juniors and Seniors who are earning community service hours to graduate. These kids are highly motivated, excellent students, and feel a sence og oligation to give back to their community.

What are Practices Like?

Practices are on your school site and offered two times per week and monitored by Dade County Sports adult supervisors (lead coaches). We introduce sports for your school in a fun and recreational manner. Some coaches will have more knowledge than others. The important issue to remember is fun. We are simply creating a positive atmosphere for your child so that he or she will feel confident to try out for a sport in middle school.

League play is offered on Saturdays with the other participating elementary schools: Howard Drive, Kendale, Snapper Creek, Ludlam, Sunset, Vineland K-8 Center, Palmetto, Henry S. West Lab, Pinecrest, Coral Reef, Leewood K-8 Center and Gloria Floyd. Games are refereed by certified professionals.

Physical Fitness & Health and Wellness Program

The Physical Fitness and Health and Wellness Program is a new program to DCS, led by head coach Tammy King-Foster, a world class athlete, who belongs to the USA Olympic Development Program in the sport of Track and Field. This program is led by professional coaches and provides recreational fitness and running exposure, helps fight against obesity, heart disease, & cancer, learn to live a healthy lifestyle and get in shape for other sports.
The Personal Fitness Program is offered once a week with an end of season competition.

Soccer & Flag Football Clinics - "Play like a PRO"

Dade County Sports Soccer and Flag Football Clinics are designed with the youth player in mind, to develop and enhance technical skills with the ball. All instruction will be given by the DCS professional soccer and flag football coaching staff. Our coaches have superior qualifications that allow us to offer trainings with the most updated techniques, while still conforming to the age appropriate fundamentals of the sport.
